Exquisite Snowy Experience

This is not the kind of snow that first comes to mind. This is a Snowy owl that I had the extreme pleasure of interacting with up close and personal as I helped to relocate it to a safe location. I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas Eve present. The whiteness of the feathers resembled freshly fallen snow on an uneven field. The patterns of the markings resembled arrowheads, morse code dots and dashes, and even silhouettes of birds in flight. And then there are those eyes. Exquisite.

I’d love to see one around here. I need to get out more.
